Check the extra recovery or authority steps for missing keys, locked vehicles, restricted private property and cars that appear abandoned.
A car without keys may still be collectable, but the team needs to know whether the doors, steering or transmission are locked and whether the handbrake releases. Missing wheels, seized brakes and a vehicle boxed in by walls or other cars can require different equipment.
Collection from a garage, communal car park, business yard or other private site requires permission and safe access. Confirm barriers, height restrictions, opening arrangements, surface, slope and turning room before an appointment is accepted.
A vehicle that appears abandoned is not yours to sell simply because it is on your land or street. Report it through the local council's abandoned-vehicle process and follow the lawful removal route rather than presenting it for scrap without ownership or authority.
